Christmas moscow mule

The Moscow Mule is similar to the popular gin and tonic. It has been around for ages, but the delicious ginger cocktail is currently experiencing a real revival.

Like the gin and tonic for a few years now. By the way, Queen Mum swore by the spicy juniper schnapps.

By the way, the Moscow Mule is a real crowd-pleaser. We had it in our “range” at our garden party in the summer and it went away like hot cakes.

A real must since then when we have visitors. And that's exactly why I've now thought of a Christmas variant. The crowd favorite, the new In drink in a Christmas guise, so to speak.

The Spicy Christmas Moscow Mule has several components at the same time. On the one hand, we use cranberries. Whenever possible, fresh, but also frozen ones work.

If you can't find both of them (and there aren't any cranberries either) dried cranberries will also work. Then simply soak them in the vodka overnight and go on.

Cinnamon is also used. Both for decoration and in cocktails. What is still missing for the perfect Christmas treat? Exactly, a little green.

This is used here in the form of fresh rosemary. The green herb rounds off the cocktail perfectly and is also wonderfully decorative.

The cocktail is then poured with ginger beer. It actually has nothing to do with beer. It is neither bitter nor does it contain alcohol. It just tastes spicy like ginger and is a bit hot. I can tell you that it is super delicious.

By the way, you can easily make an alcohol-free Spicy Christmas Mule out of my cocktail recipe. For this you just leave out the vodka. All other ingredients are alcohol-free anyway.

Ingredients

4 fresh cranberries

1 slice of fresh ginger

1 pinch of cinnamon

some fresh rosemary

40 ml vodka

150 ml ginger beer

ice

Preparation

Mash the cranberries, ginger, cinnamon and rosemary at the bottom of the cocktail glass. Fill the glass with ice, add vodka and fill up with ginger beer, stir briefly.

Decorate the cocktail with fresh cranberries and fresh rosemary.
