Christmas banana log


This Christmas banana log is a delicious and festive dessert that is perfect for any holiday party. It is made with a moist banana cake that is rolled up with a creamy frosting and then decorated with chocolate ganache. The result is a beautiful and delicious dessert that is sure to impress your guests


Preparation time ; 60 minutes

Ingredients

For the cake

6 tablespoons sugar

6 tablespoons flour

6 eggs

50 g of cocoa powder

1/2 tsp baking powder

cinnamon

small salt

For the cream:

80 g sugar

400 ml milk

1 packet of vanilla custard powder

1 packet of vanilla sugar

2 bananas

For the glaze:

120 g powdered sugar

little water

Preparation

We start to beat the egg whites with a little salt, then we beat it further into the hard foam with the sugar, then we add the egg yolks, finally we loosely turn in the flour, baking powder, cocoa powder, cinnamon so that we don't break it very much.

 Pour into a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Even when warm, we pull the baking paper off of it and roll it up.


Meanwhile, make the cream: cook the pudding powder, let it cool, taking care not to turn it brown, stir it several times, and it’s best to put a lid on the pan as well. Once it has cooled down a bit, we spread the cake with it, we put the bananas on the longer edge, and we roll it up from there.


For the glaze, the ingredients are heated with constant stirring and then applied to the roll.

 Let the finished cake freeze in the refrigerator for at least half a day, then we can slice it. Also with a very delicious chocolate glaze.
