christmas stuffed turkey





Prepare a recipe for your family and friends for Christmas dinner, the traditional latin style  stuffed turkey. The filling is made of a simple stuffing and turkey is basted with beer and a lot of butter .

The recipe differ from traditional american and british turkey .

Ingredients

1 turkey

40 garlic cloves

3 tablespoons of cumin

5 tablespoons of salt

1 tablespoon of axiote or paprika 

2 liters of beer 

6 sticks of butter

450 grams of bread

1 onion

2 cups of celery

1 bunch of parsley

3 tablespoons rosemary

2 tablespoons thyme

2 cups of chicken broth

2 eggs


preparation 

For the filling

Cut the bread into cubes and bake it at 180 degrees for half an hour or until it is dehydrated and golden brown or toast in a pan.

Cook the onion with butter and celery in a pan and then add the bread. Add spices and chicken broth; pass everything to a refregirator  and reserve.

Prepare the dressing for the turkey with axiote, salt, cumin, 40 cloves of garlic, 2 liters of beer and 2 sticks of butter. Grind everything in the blender and marinate the previously washed raw turkey for at least a day.

With the turkey seasoned, fold the wings on the back, place the stuffing inside and tie the legs crosswise to keep the content inside.

Heat the oven to 220 degrees to place the turkey inside, check every 30 minutes for cooking, bathe it with a little of its own and marinating broth.

Its cooking should be completed in approximately 240 minutes or when it reaches 130 degrees Celsius in its internal temperature.

Take the turkey out of the oven and let it cool for a few minutes so you can cut it up and enjoy its great flavor.
