Christmas spaghetti and meatballs

 Christmas Spaghetti and meatballs sauce is a delicious festive version of spaghetti and meatballs .  The sauce is called pomorolla sauce and nice with spaghpetti. We also make meatballs at home and they are festive than normal sausages .This spaghetti can be made within hour .They are very tasty, appropriate for a special occasion .

This is different with the previous recipe of spaghetti and meatballs which is made with readymade meatballs .

Ingredients

600grs of packed spaghetti


Meatballs

600g of minced meat

1/2 cup of breadcrumbs soaked in milk 

1 tbsp of breadcrumbs

1 tbsp of chopped parsley

2 grated apples

2 slightly beaten eggs

50g of chopped smoked bacon

1 grated medium carrot 

 1  tbsp of grated cheese 

salt, pepper to taste


Sauce 


1 kg of  tomatoes

1 medium red onion

1 red bell pepper

1 carrot

1 sprig of parsley

 1  tsp sugar

1 glass of dry white wine or broth 

50g butter 

1 tbsp oil

salt, pepper, chili powder 


Preparation

Meatballs. Mix the meat with the well squeezed breadcrumbs, the breadcrumbs, the chopped parsley, the grated apples, the eggs, the finely chopped bacon, the grated carrot, the grated cheese and seasonings to taste.


The meatballs are preferably small, approximately 3cm in diameter and once they are all assembled, they are passed through flour and are accommodated in the saucepan where the sauce

. Roughly chop the tomatoes and put them in a saucepan, along with the onion cut into medium pieces, the bell pepper in wide strips, the carrot in thick slices and the parsley leaves.

Cover the saucepan and cook over moderate heat for 10 minutes.


Then it is removed from the heat, the preparation is allowed to warm a little and then blend it.

Once blended, pour it back into the saucepan, adding the sugar, butter and oil.

It is brought back to moderate heat and once it begins to boil, it is cook for 10 minutes and then add the white wine and let it boil for 5 more minutes.

The sauce is seasoned to taste.

The meatballs are carefully arranged and the pan is covered to let them cook over a very low heat for approximately 15 minutes.

Every so often the pan is turned to prevent the meatballs from sticking.

 Cook the pasta in plenty of boiling water and salt until they are just ready. The spaghetti is drained and put back in the saucepan to pour a little sauce over it and mix well.

Finally, the meatballs with the sauce are served on the plates over pasta. If you like, you can sprinkle them with a little grated cheese .
