Christmas rice balls

 


 

This is perfect for Christmas parties! It is a rice croquette that you can easily make with toasting or frying in oil and make with less ingredients .This is  a japanese style Christmas snack .Although we do not fry it the seems fried. I


Serves ; 8


 ingredients


rice 300g

Bread crumbs 30g

Processed cheese (cut into 1 cm squares) 70g

1 red pepper , cut into stars or cubes

Basil or coriander as needed

cherry tomatoes as needed

tomato ketchup 2 tablespoons

butter 10g

Salt and pepper Each a little

Mixed vegetables (frozen) 50g

Ham (chopped) 2 slices or 2 sausages , chopped


Preparation

Cook rice in the normal way or use leftover rice .

Heat butter  and add vegetables , ham .Fry well and add tomato sauce  .

Add rice and cheese .Then make 8 balls from it .


No frying method

Put the bread crumbs in a frying pan that do not need oil with oil and fry until golden brown. 

Coat rice balls in bread crumbs . Toast in oven for 5 minutes


Frying method 

Coat balls in breadcrumbs and fry in hot oil.


Make 8 of these.

Serve on a plate in a wreath and decorate with pepper, basil leaves and  tomatoes.
