Christmas cake


This tradition comes from ancient Rome when bread was prepared with pine nuts, raisins and pomegranates, later in middle Ages honey, spices and other types of preserved fruits were added. Ingredeints

200 g raisins

50 g chopped walnuts

50 g sliced ​​almonds

50 g candied fruits

120 g butter

200 g sugar

pinch of salt

3 eggs

350 g wheat flour

3 tablespoons rum

2 tablespoons baking powder

1 cup of milk


Ingredients 

In a bowl, place the candied fruits, raisins, walnuts and almonds.

Bathe with rum and marinate for 30 minutes.

Beat the butter, sugar, salt, and eggs in a bowl until they are creamy.

Sift the flour together with the baking powder and add it to the bowl with the mixture.

Begin to beat and add the milk little by little.

Beat until smooth.

Preheat the oven to 180ÂșC and grease a baking dish.

Pour the dough into the mold and bake for 1 hour.
