Christmas buns

 


Recipe for coffee bread that is perfect for Christmas. You can make the buns from ordinary wheat bread and fill with  the colorful and good filling you make from butter, vanilla sugar, gingerbread spice and berry jam. Garnish the Christmas buns with powdered sugar.

Ingredients

40 unbaked bread dough

100 g  butter

1 teapoon vanilla extract

2 tsp gingerbread spice

100 g berry jam

1 beaten egg

powdered sugar

 


Preparation

Stir together room temperature butter, vanilla sugar and gingerbread spice.

Roll out the dough into a large plate on a floured counter. Spread on the mixture and the berry jam.

Roll up from the long side. Cut pieces and place in paper molds. Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with a little powdered sugar if necessary.

Then bake  in a preheated 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) oven for 12 to 15 minutes.
