sunflower oil or vegeatable oil to fry

Pour the flour on a work plan.

Add the sugar, extra virgin olive oil and eggs.

Mix everything quickly until you obtain a smooth and homogeneous paste.

Divide the dough into pieces and form small balls of the same size.

Heat the oil and, as soon as it reaches the desired temperature, immerse the balls and fry them until they are golden brown.

Take out and place on paper towels, then allow to dry and cool completely.

In a heavy-bottomed saucepan, melt the honey and, as soon as it is completely fluid, add the balls inside.

Mix with a wooden spoon so that the balls absorb the honey, then pour into a serving dish and give all the balls the desired shape.

Decorate the surface with  colored sprinkles or candied fruit.
