Christmas oatmeal cookies

This is a very nutrious and healthy xmas cookies idea .Some childrens even refuse to drink oats smoothie but they love to eat oatmeal cookies .They do not seems to be oatmeal cookies if you decorate with sprinkles and your favorite christmas shaped icing .I dip them in sprinkles mixed with condended milk.If you do not have condended milk use a homemade caramel sauce . Use only red ,green and white sprinkles for a holiday look .

preparation time ; 25 minutes

Ingredients

175 g   plain flour

100 g  oatmeal powder

100 g  brown sugar

100 g  Butter

1 egg

50  grated coconut (optional)

1 tbsp baking powder

2 tbsp milk

Cinnamon powder (optional)

Colored festive sprinkles to decorate

caramel sauce or condended milk to  bind them

Steps

Melt the butter and mix with the beaten egg, milk, sugar and vanilla essence.

Mix the flour, oats, baking powder and cinnamon in a separate bowl (sift).

Mix both mixtures a few times until all the ingredients are well integrated. Add the grated coconut.

Roll out the dough and cut into circles. Bake in a preheated 180 degree oven for 10-15 minutes.

Remove from the oven and allow to cool. Decorate with colored sprinkles (you can help them with a little condended milk  or caramel sauce to make them stick).
