Savoury christmas cake



This is a christmas version of savoury cake which is perfect for breakfast ,as a appetizer or as a  snack with tea .This is quite different from savoury christmas   bread in this blog because we do not use cheese ,olives or yoghurt   but use apricorts and more meats .
This should be eaten on the day baked because we use many meats to bake this .Serving hot will taste better .
 

200 g flour

5 g  of baking powder

4 eggs

100  ml  milk

80 ml sunflower or vegetable oil

150 g of sausages 

150 g smoked meat or ham

10 dried apricots or dates 

50 g cashews ,almonds  ,walnuts or peanuts 

Salt and pepper 

The preparation

Mix the eggs, flour, baking powder, milk and oil together. Season with salt and pepper.

Cut the meats into large cubes,
Cut the dried apricots into pieces and very coarsely chop the nuts with a knife.

Add all the ingredients to the dough previously made and mix gently.

Butter and flour a loaf pan . Pour the dough and use the Oven

Taste your savory cake as a starter with a green salad or as an aperitif
