Swedish meatballs are cooked in a rich, roux-based, creamy gravy made with beef or bone broth and sour cream (or sometimes heavy cream).That is quite different from normal swedish meatballs .
Christmas meatballs are a Swedish classic on the Christmas table. These good meatballs have a touch of allspice that is perfect for Christmas. The Christmas meatballs are easy to cook and taste absolutely delicious.

ingredients
2 large onions , chopped
2 tablespoons cooking oil
100 ml cream
100 ml milk
100 g breadcrumbs
1 kg minced meat ( chicken ,pork or beef or a mix of them )
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
2 eggs
2 tsp cinamon and cloves powder
1 1/2 teaspoons sugar
3 - 4 tablespoons cooking oil for frying
Fry onion in the oil. Let the onion cool.
Mix cream, milk and breadcrumbs in a bowl. Let it soak for about 10 minutes.
Mix the minced meat with salt. Stir in the eggs. Season with spices and sugar.
Mix the onion with the breadcrumbs mixture. Stir it into the minced meat .
Roll the minced meat into meatballs that are placed on a water-rinsed cutting board or place the minced meat in a spirit bag and press balls directly into the frying pan.
Fry the meatballs in batches in the oil in a frying pan for about 8 minutes or until they are cooked through.
Heat fresh or frozen meatballs in a little cooking fat seasoned with ground cloves and the meatballs will have a Christmas taste.
