Christmas jam



An easy spicy marmalade to make during holiday season .It is perfect to apply on bread slices .
We have to use jam sugar which is sugar with pectin to make the jammy attribute of it .You can use white peel or piths of orange that are rich in pectin instead .

2 kg of oranges

1 stick of cinnamon

4 pieces of cloves

2 tbsp mixed spices powder 

500 g jam  sugar  or 
500g sugar and some orange piths ( white peel)


Squeeze the oranges. Place in a saucepan with the cinnamon stick and cloves, bring to the boil briefly and remove from the heat.

Add spices  and let everything steep for 3 hours.

Remove the cinnamon, cloves and mulled wine bags.

Add the  sugar and let it boil for about 7 minutes.Remove orange piths if use 

Take the jam, pour it into glasses  .Then covered with lids  and turn it upside  down for about 10 minutes.
