There are several types of fried pastry from india,europe and americas .This is portuguese style less ingredient fried holiday pastries.
Sugar prinkled fried pastries will look like a snow and helps to improve the sweetness .
1 pound of wheat flour
2 tablespoons canola margarine2 beaten eggs
1 teaspoon salt
Sugar to taste
Canola oil to fry
Mix the flour and margarine very well. Add salt, eggs and continue mixing until a very smooth dough.
Spread the mixture on a floured table, knead with a rolling pin until you get a dough as thin as possible.
Cut the dough into strips of the desired width and length. Fry in hot oil until the strips acquire a golden color. Remove and place on an absorbent napkin. Sprinkle with white sugar to taste
