Christmas tarte tatin



The tarte Tatin, named after the hotel serving it as its signature dish, is a pastry in which the fruit is caramelised in butter and sugar before the tart is baked. It originated in France but has spread to other countries over the years

We use christmas spices to make the christmas flavour of this tarts.

Its a alternative christmas dessert as well as you can eat with tea or coffe .
Serve with vanilla ice cream for a better taste.

75 g of fine sugar
75 g butter
5 large tart firm apples 
2 cases. lemon juice 
5 g Christmas spices( cinnamon, mace ,cloves, cardamom ,nutmeg)
250 g puff pastry,Homemade puff pastry
cinnamon and icing sugar

 
Preparation:

Preheat the oven to 200 ° C.
Put the sugar and butter in a tarte tart pan and heat over medium heat until the butter melts.
Peel the apples, remove the cores and cut them into quarters.
Pour a little lemon juice on top and sprinkle with cinnamon and Christmas spices.
Place the apples, rounded side down, in the pan until completely covering the bottom.  
Macerate for 5 min over medium heat.
Remove the pan from the heat and let cool.
Cut a round of puff pastry the size of the mold.
Place the dough on the apples and press lightly around the edges.
Slightly incise the dough so that the steam can escape.
Bake for 15 min at 200 ° C until the dough swells and browns.
Let cool for 5 min.
Invert the hot pie using a flexible spatula.
Serve hot with, vanilla ice cream .
