Swedish Christmas ribs





Tender ribs with Christmas spices, which fall apart in the mouth.

This recipe is for both slow cooking in Crock-Pot and pressure cooking in Crock-Pot .Or you can cook on oven until meat is tender.

 servings ;6
 cooking time ; 7 hours in slowcooker and about 45 minutes in oven  

Ingredients 

1.5 kg ribs
1.5 tablespoons ginger
1 tablespoon coriander
1 tablespoon grated garlic
1 tablespoon grated onion
10 ground allspice grains or a pinch of mixed spices 
1 mortar crushed orange peel
Salt and pepper
Whole carnations or cardamom 
200 ml apple juice

Do this


1. Rub the ribs with the spice mixture and place them in the Crock-Pot. Pour apple juice over.
2. Slowcooking: Let them cook on low for 7-8 hours or high for 5 hours ALT Pressure cooking:  Let the pressure drop naturally for 10-15 min.
Or you can cook on oven until meat is tender .
Let them cool, boil the glaze and brush on.
4. Put them in the oven for 15 minutes before serving.

Information
Glaze:
1 clove garlic
1 tablespoon tomato puree
2 tablespoons  soy sauce 
1 tablespoon  oil
1 tablespoon honey
2 tablespoons dark muscovado sugar
2 teaspoons grated ginger

Boil together and brush on the ribs.
