An easy american style christmas breakfast idea with a holiday twist .
For a dairy-free version, use any vegan milk. For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free multipurpose flour suitable for pancakes / muffins / and for baking.
This recipe can also be made by swapping milk for eggnog to make the American-style recipe.
Preparation time ;20 -30 minutes
Serves ; 4
11/2 cups of flour
3 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder
1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1 tablespoon of sugar
1 1/4 cups milk
1 egg
3 tablespoons butter, melted
1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon
In a large bowl, sift the flour, baking powder , nutmeg, cinnamon, salt, and sugar.
Make a hole in the middle and pour in the milk, egg, and melted butter; Mix everything with a fork or mixer until smooth.
Heat a large griddle or skillet over medium-high heat . Pour 1/4 cup of batter for each pancake.
Wait until bubbles form to flip it over. Brown on the other side and serve with butter and maple syrup.
