Ingredients

For the pudding:
75 g dried fruit (plums, dates, apricots)
1 tsp baking powder
50 g  dark chocolate 70%
25 g soft butter
pulp from a vanilla pod or vanilla extract 1 tsp
75 g brown sugar
2 eggs
36 g flour
1 tbsp cocoa powder

For the sauce:
100 ml cream
25 g sugar
juice of 1/2 orange
50 g  dark chocolate 70%
25 g  whole milk chocolate
1 tbsp Grand Marnier , optional

Preparation

Dice the dried fruit into small pieces and mix with 75 g of boiling water. Leave for 15 minutes and then puree the mixture with a mixing stick.

Chop the chocolate and melt in a bowl over a hot water bath. Mix the butter, vanilla pulp and sugar with the hand mixer for a few minutes. Gradually add and mix in the eggs. Then stir in the flour, baking powder, cocoa, fruit puree and the melted chocolate.

Place the dough in a greased pudding or  tin and cover it tightly with the appropriate lid or with aluminum foil. Place the form in a saucepan, almost to the brim, in slightly simmering water. Cover the pot and cook the pudding in it for about 1 hour.

In the meantime, bring the cream, sugar and orange juice to the boil and remove the pan from the hob. Chop the chocolate into small pieces and gradually stir into the liquid. Flavor the sauce as you like with Grand Marnier.

Let the pudding stand for another 10 minutes, then turn it over and pour the chocolate sauce over it.
