Argentinian Christmas empanadas

These empanadas are made with  a easy dough and filled with sweet and savory meat and egg filling . You can fry in oil or bake in the oven.


Quantity ; 18
Preparation time ; 180  minutes 
Cooking time ;20  minutes 

Dough 
750g flour 
2 cups warm broth
150 g butter or margarine 

Filling
1/2kg chopped meat
4 chopped onions
18 olives
1/2 cup raisins
250g butter
3 boiled eggs 
1 tbsp cumin
1tbsp paprika or chili powder 
1tbsp  ground chilli 

Add flour to a bowl and make a well in the middle. Add butter to well and add broth while mixing. 

Make a soft bowl and knead well. Leave for a hour . Make 18 balls from it and roll them.

 Fry onion with cumin  in oil. 

Then add meat ,chilli ,paprika and fry until cooked.Remove from heat and cool.chop eggs.

Add eggs ,raisins, olive to it.Add filling to the middle of the dough.

Fold them and close the edges.Fry or bake for about 10 minutes in hot oil or in hot oven.
