Christmas beef stew

Ingrediants

250 gr of beef stew

1 golden apple

1 fuji apple

50 gr of pomegranate

1 teaspoon of juniper berries

1 cinnamon stick

1 carrot

1 stick of celery

1 onion

Oil

Salt

Pepper



Preparation


For the Christmas stew, start with the meat, and proceed as for a classic stew.

In a pan pour some oil and fry the celery, carrots and onion.

Then add the diced golden apple and the meat. Sauté for a few minutes so that the juices of the meat seal inside.

Season with salt and pepper and then cover with vegetable or meat broth.

Now add a cinnamon stick, a few juniper berries and cook slowly for at least 45 minutes.

If you see that it dries too much, add more broth. It doesn't have to be soup, but it's good to have some liquid in it anyway.

When cooked, before serving, add the diced fuji apple and the shelled pomegranate.

Your stew is done and you are now ready to enjoy it with your family on the - for me - most beautiful day ever: Christmas.
