Nothing whets your appetite more than a nicely presented snack. The Christmas balls appetizer with herring, beets and potatoes is an excellent recipe for the festive table.
Cooking time 25 minutes
Ingredients
Lightly salted herring200 g
Beets (large)1
Potatoes 2-3
mayonnaise2 tbsp.
Lettuce leaves (for decoration)
Salt to taste
Preparation
Boil beets and potatoes, cool and peel.
Grate vegetables, add mayonnaise and salt to taste.
Stir the beetroot mixture well. Cut the herring into small pieces.
Make small cakes from the beet mass, put a couple of herring pieces and roll into a ball.
Place on a platter with lettuce and garnish with green onions and lemon slices.
Cool in the refrigerator before serving. The Christmas balls appetizer is ready. Can be served to the xmas table.
