Christmas seafood rice

Seafood rice is one of the most delicious rice in the world due to its use of lots of seafood to make these dish .

This is a one pot Christmas rice recipe .It is delicious because we use a lot of seafood. You can serve it only with a salad. This can also be served with roasted vegetables .

Do not make more side dishes as it reduces the taste of rice .




Preparation time ; 30 minutes

serves ; 6 - 8


400 g crabs and squids , cleaned and cut into pieces

400 g devined and peeled shrimp

500 g long grain rice

1 chopped onion

2 cloves of garlic, chopped

cloves , cinamon and cardamom ( optinal)

60 g butter

4 tbsp cooking oil

250 g chopped bell peppers in 3 colour 

salt and pepper

saffron and turmeric if needed

lemon juice to marinate 

musturd cream to marinate

coriander or parsley ,chopped

5 cups of water or broth


Preparation

Marinate seafood with lemon juice , salt ,pepper and musturd .

Heat butter and fry all the seafood .When they become pink remove 1/2 of seafood 

Add all other spices ,onion, peppers and garlic .

Add rice and fry well .After 2 minutes add water or broth and bring to boil .

Garnish with remaining seafoods and coriander .
