These cookies look good, great idea for Christmas!

Preparation time: 15 min

Cooking time: 12 minutes

Quantity ; 30

Ingredients

110g cold soft butter, cut into pieces

110g caster sugar

a pinch of salt

1 egg

1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

275g flour

45g of cornstarch

Decoration:

20g of chocolate

red candy for the nose like M & m's  or Skittles

Prepare  cookies:

Preheat the oven to 180 °. In the bowl of the food processor, combine the butter, sugar and salt with the foil. Add the egg and vanilla, then the flour and cornstarch. Mix at slow speed until you obtain a homogeneous texture and the dough forms a ball.

Spread the dough 4mm thick between two sheets of baking paper or on a silicone mat. Cut out the shapes of your choice, here circles 7cm in diameter then place them on a sheet of baking paper or a silicone mat, spacing them slightly. If the dough is too soft and the shapes do not come off easily, pre-cut the cookies on the baking paper then put the dough in the refrigerator .After  15 minutes take it out .

Bake for 10-12 minutes and then let cool completely on a rack.

Decorate the cookies:

Melt a little chocolate for 1 minutes at 50% power in the microwave or in double boiler . Then finish melting the chocolate by mixing with a spatula. Pour the melted chocolate into a piping bag and draw 2 eyes and 2 reindeer antlers on each cookie. Glue a red candy with a hint of chocolate to form the nose.

The cookies can be kept for at least 3 weeks in an airtight box away from humidity but they do not look very well because their nose is fragile . So  decorate before serving .
