These falafels fit really well on, the Christmas table with their Christmas taste of cloves, cardamom and ginger. We also serve it with a orange cream which is the most suitable dip for this falafels . The falafel balls can be freeze so they are excellent to prepare.

Ingredients
250 g chick peas or canned chickpeas
1 onion
1 garlic clove
1 vegetable bouillon
2 tablespoons peanut butter or tahini
1 teaspoon cloves, ground
1 teaspoon ginger, ground
1 tablespoon allspice or cinamon , ground
Oil for frying
Orange sauce
200 g cream or yoghurt
1 orange
1 pinch of salt
Soak the peas overnight. If you use canned chickpeas no need of serving. Just drain chickpeas
Peel and coarsely chop the yellow onion and garlic. Mix the peas with onion, garlic, vegetable broth, peanut butter and spices in the blender to a paste .
Form into about 20-25 balls and fry on medium heat in oil.
Make the sauce:
Grate the orange peel and squeeze out the juice. Mix with the cream and add a pinch of salt.
Serve with falafel .
