Ingredients for cooking Peruvian Christmas rice
1 cup long grain rice (Cooked and al dente)
Bunch of parsley or corinader
2 onions
1 red pepper
2 tomatoes
100 g. celery
1 teaspoon of nutmeg
200 g. of butter
50 g. Apricot or dates
200 g. of ham or sausages
Salt
Pepper
Nutmeg
How to prepare Peruvian Christmas rice
We start by cubing the onion, the pepper, the tomatoes and the celery into brunoise.
Now we place a frying pan to heat and melt the butter over medium heat and let the vegetables cook for approximately 3 to 5 minutes .
We also add sliced ham, apricot and season with nutmeg, salt and pepper.
Let everything cook for 5 minutes and add the rice. We stir constantly for about 5 more minutes to incorporate all the ingredients and that the rice becomes a little softer.
We turn off the fire and you will have a different rice with a lot of flavor to enjoy as a family.
