Christmas puff pastry rolls

Christmas puff pastry rolls with a simple but everyone's favorite filling of cheese, eggs and onions will be very popular on the holiday table.

Cooking time 35 minutes



yeast dough 


1 cup milk

3/4 tbsp dry yeast

1/4 cup sugar

1 egg 

1 tsp salt

3 cup flour 

1 1/2 tbsp oil


Filling 

Puff yeast dough 300 g 

Hard cheese 50 g

Eggs 2

Green onion 1 bundle

Egg yolk1

Boiled water 2 tbsp. 


 

Preparation

Dough 

Combine yeast together with warm milk and one tablespoon of sugar. Let ingredients rest on a counter for about 10 minutes.


Add eggs,salt and sugar into the mixture, whisking together to combine.


Mix in flour using Kitchen aid mixer or a spatula, in small portions. Once the flour is all mixed in, add oil to the mixture. It is important to add oil last, as the texture of the dough turns out better.



Knead the dough until it is elastic, at least for 10 minutes. Let dough rise for about an hour


Filling 

Grate boiled eggs.



Add grated cheese and finely chopped green onions. Mix well.


Roll out the dough into a layer and lay out the filling in an even layer


Wrap in a roll and cut into slices. Place each twist on a baking sheet covered with parchment. Brush with a mixture of egg yolk and 2 tbsp. spoons of water.


Bake in an oven preheated to 180 degrees C for 20 minutes. Until golden brown.
