This festive syrup is the perfect way to add some Christmas cheer to your holiday drinks and desserts. Made with a blend of festive spices and sugar, this syrup is sure to become a favorite.
An easy syrup to serve with pancakes ,sponge cake or french toasts .You can make about 700 to 800 ml from recipe beloe. You can also use this to sweetned tea ,coffe or milk.
preparation time ; 15 minutes
Ingredients
500 ml of sugar
500 ml of water
4 - 5 tablespoons of grated ginger
2 cinnamon sticks
2 cardamom pods (use the seeds inside),
2 -3 cloves
Preparation
Pour all the ingredients in a saucepan and bring it to a boil; from the moment it starts boiling, let it simmer over a medium heat for 5-10 minutes. Pour the syrup through a fine cloth towel and squeeze it well. Let it cool and store it in the fridge in a brown bottle.
Serve with coffe or milk or tea .Or serve over pancakes .
