Christmas spaghetti


This is holiday bolognese with apple .Using apples in a pasta will amaze you .But it is fantastic and brings holiday flavor to the pasta sauce .This is perfect for christmas dinner without any side dish .

preparation time; 20 minutes


100 g Bacon or sausages, diced
1 tbsp of oil if use sausages
4    diced  Tomatoes
1     cubed capsicums
1 diced Onions
1         clove garlic , chopped
½ diced Apple
2  pinches cinnamon
2 tsp brown sugar
2 tbsp  vinegar
150 ml hot chicken broth
2  tsp  mixed herbs
salt and pepper
400 g spaghetti

Cook spaghetti according to package directions .

In a large pan heat oil if uses, fry the diced  bacon or sausages together with chopped garlic and the diced onion . As soon as the bacon gets a light tan, add the  peppers and fry. Add the roughly diced tomatoes and the finely diced apple and braise at medium temperature.

To the broth stir in the balsamic vinegar and then season the broth with brown sugar.

Stir in the Cinnamon and the herbs in the pan and de glaze with the broth. Then boil the sauce to the desired consistency. Flavored with salt and pepper, it is then served with the spaghetti that has been cooked in the meantime
