An easy version of scottish shortbreads.
Shortbread is a traditional Scottish biscuit usually made from one part white sugar, two parts butter, and three parts plain wheat flour.
This is an easy christmas recipe to make with children during holidays
butter 150g
icing sugar 55g ( 50 g powdered sugar + 5 g corn starch )
1 tsp of vanilla extract or vanilla sugar
flour 225g
cornstarch 2 tbsp
Beat icing sugar with vanilla .Then add the soft butter, start at low speed for 5 minutes.
Add the flour and cornstarch, after a few minutes the dough forms
Roll out the dough between two sheets of baking paper using a rolling pin (5mm thick)
Chill for 30 minutes
Preheat the oven to 180 ° c
Using a cookie cutter, cut the dough
Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper
Put in the oven for about 10 minutes.Cool on the rack and serve .
