Authentic Christmas casserole

This is a easy , cheesy casserole with sausages , meat and vegetables is perfect for Christmas morning.Both children and adults will love it.It sometimes like stuffing but it is not because we add egg mixture to the casserole .
You can use any vegetable but bell peppers ,brocolli and peas are the best to add .Also remember that use boneless and skinless meat like turkey or chicken or goose . You should store casserole in the refrigarator for at least 3 - 4 hours .You can make this overnight to make the breakfast easily .

Preparation time ; 5 hours
Baking time ; 45 minutes





200 g of sliced sausages
400 g of cubed  skinless and boneless meat like turkey ,chicken or goose 
40 ml of olive or vegetable oil
1 bay leaf
1 tbsp of musturd paste
150 g grated cheddar or craft cheese
250 g fresh milk
150 g of  preferred vegetables  like bell peppers , peas, spinach and brocolli
1  tsp of fresh rosemary
salt and pepper to taste
7 eggs , beaten
parsley and tomato to  garnish


Season meat with salt ,pepper and rosemary  and bay leaf .Heat oil and cook sausages , meat and bell peppers  in oil
.
Grease  a  casserole dish with butter and add meat mixture .Layer half of the cheese  over the mixture and bread .Mix a little ( do not over mix ) .

Mix eggs together with milk , mustard  , salt  and peppers  and pour over bread .Top with remaining cheese and cover with a foil or a lid .

Refrigerate at least 3 to 4 hours   ( you can refrigerate overnight ) .

Preheat oven to 180 C .Bake the casserole with foil or heatproof lid for 30 minutes .Then remove   the lid or foil and bake further for 12 - 15 minutes . Garnish with parsley and tomato.
