christmas custurd pastry

 

1 pack    Puff pastry (frozen)
500 ml    milk
250 g    sugar
35 g    Flour
1 pinch    salt
1 teaspoon    butter
1    egg
5    egg yolk
1 parcel    Bourbon vanilla sugar
cinnamon powder


Let the puff pastry thaw. Place the individual slices on top of each other and roll them together to form a rectangle (40 x 20 cm). Roll up the dough from the short side and refrigerate in the freezer until it is very firm but not frozen.

Cut the roll into slices about 1 cm thick. Place each slice in a solid mold and press up on the edge so that the mold is lined (the troughs of a muffin tray are suitable). Preheat the oven to 230 ° C.

Bring milk to a boil with butter. Stir in the sugar, salt and flour vigorously, bring to the boil briefly. Let cool down. Mix in the egg, egg yolks and vanilla sugar. Pour the mixture into the pans on the puff pastry. Bake in the preheated oven for about 8 to 10 minutes.

The patties should be very dark on the top. Sprinkle with a little cinnamon just before eating.
