Austrian Christmas punch










This is so different from English or German Christmas punch .We use cherry juice instead of orange juice and red wine .Also we add candied fruit to improve the festiveness.You want liquor like rum  to serve  Austrian Xmas punch.

400 ml cherry juice
100 g  cherries
Sugar 
1 teaspoon of spices for a punch( cinnamon,cloves,nutmeg and cardamom)
2 tablespoons candied fruit
Orange juice
lemon juice
orange peel
whole cinnamon
alcohol to serve

Cook the juice with fruit, orange and lemon juice and spices.
Then remove from the heat, add alcohol and sweeten to taste
