Christmas pea soup


This pea stew or soup is from czech and it is a healthy and delicious dish to serve on christmas eve . The soup is garnished with bacon or sausages .

Preparation time ; 30 minutes
Serves ;4

300 g of yellow or green peas
2 cloves of garlic
100 ml of cream
pinch of marjoram herbs
sea ​​salt
3 slices of bacon or sausages , sliced
ground black pepper
meat broth

Preparation method
Soak the peas the day before and store in the refrigerator. The next day we pour the water, pour fresh water over the peas and boil it until soft. Add salt to the peas before the end of cooking. Then let the peas partially cool and mix it with the rest of the water.

Add crushed garlic, a pinch of pepper and marjoram to the mixed peas and pour broth over everything as needed. Mix the soup, bring to a boil again and cook for a short time. 
Finally, soften it with cream, heat it over, remove from the heat and season with salt or spices to taste.

Meanwhile, fry the slices of bacon in a pan or sausages with oil, cut them into small strips and add to the finished soup.
